What you'll do as an SEO Executive
You'll join our SEO & Performance team, working alongside 150+ specialists across SEO, content, design, and paid media. You'll handle SEO for clients across fintech, retail, healthcare, real estate, and more — the same 12+ industries we've served since 2012.
This isn't a solo role. You'll work with a dedicated account manager and content team on every account, so your SEO recommendations turn into real content and technical fixes, not just a report nobody reads.

As Contextread has grown to 480+ clients and 3,500+ completed projects, our SEO & Performance team is expanding to keep turnaround times at 7 to 20 working days without cutting corners on quality.
What this job involves day to day
Keyword research
Find and prioritise keywords that match client business goals, not just search volume.
On-page & technical SEO
Run audits, fix technical issues, and optimise page structure, metadata, and internal linking.
Content coordination
Brief our content team with keyword and structure guidance so articles are built to rank.
Off-page & link building
Support link-building and outreach efforts that fit each client's industry and risk tolerance.
Tracking & reporting
Monitor rankings and traffic using Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and report progress against agreed goals.
Staying current
Track Google algorithm updates and adjust client strategy before rankings are affected.
Requirements & skills
Must-haves
- ✓ Solid understanding of on-page, technical, and off-page SEO fundamentals
- ✓ Comfortable with Google Search Console and Google Analytics
- ✓ Clear written and verbal communication, for client-facing reports
- ✓ An analytical mindset — comfortable reading data, not just producing it
Good to have
- ✓ Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog
- ✓ Basic understanding of HTML and how CMS platforms like WordPress or Shopify affect SEO
- ✓ Prior agency experience, or SEO internship experience
- ✓ Interest in AI SEO and how search behaviour is changing

10:00 am
Check rankings and traffic dashboards for your accounts, flag anything unusual.
Midday
Run audits, brief content, and work through your SEO task list for active clients.
Afternoon
Client or internal calls, and reviews with your account manager or team lead.
7:00 pm
Wrap up and log progress so reporting stays current for every account.

For this role, with 1 to 4 years of experience, compensation is typically in the ₹25,000 to ₹45,000 per month range — in line with current Bangalore market standards for SEO Executives. Your exact offer depends on your specific experience and skills, and we'll confirm the number with you before any offer is made.
