What you'll do as an AEO Specialist
You'll join our SEO & Performance team, working alongside 150+ specialists across SEO, content, design, and paid media. You'll work on SEO & Performance for clients across fintech, retail, healthcare, real estate, and more — the same industries we've served since 2012.
This isn't a solo role. You'll work with a dedicated account manager and cross-functional team on every account, so your work turns into real results, not just a report nobody reads.

As Contextread has grown to 480+ clients and 3,500+ completed projects, our SEO & Performance team is expanding to keep turnaround times at 7 to 20 working days without cutting corners on quality.
What this job involves day to day
Keyword & intent research
Find and prioritise keywords and search intent that match client business goals, not just search volume.
On-page & technical SEO
Run audits, fix technical issues, and optimise page structure, metadata, and internal linking.
Content coordination
Brief the content team with keyword, structure, and AI-search guidance so pages are built to rank.
Off-page & link building
Support link-building and outreach efforts that fit each client's industry and risk tolerance.
Tracking & reporting
Monitor rankings, traffic, and visibility using Search Console, GA4, and AI-answer tracking tools.
Staying current
Track Google and AI search updates and adjust client strategy before visibility is affected.
Requirements & skills
Must-haves
- ✓ Solid understanding of on-page, technical, and off-page SEO fundamentals
- ✓ Comfortable with Google Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4)
- ✓ Clear written and verbal communication, for client-facing reports
- ✓ An analytical mindset — comfortable reading data, not just producing it
Good to have
- ✓ Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog
- ✓ Basic understanding of HTML and how CMS platforms like WordPress or Shopify affect SEO
- ✓ Prior agency experience, or SEO internship experience
- ✓ Interest in AEO, GEO, and how AI search behaviour is changing discovery
